Summary, etc Au sein du droit international et européen des droits de l'homme, les systèmes juridictionnels de protection des droits de l'homme occupent une place prépondérante aux côtés des systèmes non juridictionnels de suivi et de prévention. Ils se sont multipliés et diversifiés. La plupart sont dotés de juridictions ayant des compétences exclusivement consacrées à la protection des droits de l'homme. Une partie offre à des juridictions généralistes des compétences de protection des droits de l'homme. Ce foisonnement des juridictions supranationales de protection des droits de l'homme renforce le droit international et européen des droits de l'homme. Cette évolution provoque diverses interrogations relatives à la conciliation des droits de l'homme et de la souveraineté, à la fonction et à la légitimité du juge supranationale pour trancher des questions politiques et des questions de société, à l'émiettement et à la cohérence globale de la protection juridictionnelle des droits de l'homme. Le quatrième colloque de l'Institut international des droits de l'homme tente de répondre à certaines de ces interrogations en dressant le bilan et les perspectives de la protection des droits de l'homme par les cours supranationales.
